AOR Medical

Who are we?

We are a team of dedicated general practitioners whose main focus is patient convenience.

We provide mobile medical care services to those who simply cannot afford to take time off repeatedly for their monthly doctors' follow-ups.

Those who cannot spend an entire morning or afternoon waiting in long doctors' rooms queues. We will come to you where it best suits you and at a time that works for you.

What’s our purpose?

Our company was founded in 2018 by Dr. Itumeleng Radebe, a graduate of Wits University located in Johannesburg, South Africa.

She saw a gap where professionals with demanding careers who suffer from chronic conditions struggle to follow up for their monthly checkups due to the factor of time. This leads to them having to choose between their livelihood and living.

Time being the most valuable commodity available to us all as humans, it needs to be spent very wisely.

Imagine if you did not have to lose any productivity in your work because of your health. Imagine being able to still be efficient and never miss a beat at work and in your heart?

This is why DOCTORS ON THE MOVE by AOR MEDICAL is a gift to you. It allows you to save on time. The one thing which once lost can never be regained.

Our core values:

1) At the epicenter of our values is EXCELLENCE. We provide excellent service as our patients' needs come first.

2) We aim to build a positive team and family spirit with the community we serve.

3) We are in continuous pursuit of growth, learning, and improvement in order to be able to respond to the expressed and unexpressed needs of our patients.

4) We are committed to listening to our clients. We always to listen to understand and not just to respond.

5) Our purpose is to serve all those we come across to their highest potential.

6) We understand that health is wealth.

7) we deliver our care in a professional manner that benefits both our doctors and our patients.

Kind regards

How To Get More Sales

That's what businesses want of course and often why they reach out to someone like me, an email marketing specialist.

Obviously the question I get is "can I do it? Can I get them more sales?" The answer is always "no, I can't". Because I am not your customer. Only your customer - or prospective customer - can drive your sales up.

So how do we get your customer to buy more from you? Do I have that answer? Again, no. Do you have that answer? I highly doubt it, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading my message to you.

So what now? Well the answer, again, lies with your customer. Let's go and ask them what would make them buy more from you.

You see, most companies do marketing without leaving the office. They invite a website agency to come into their office to take down a brief; a social media person to come and give a quote; a logo designer to show some options. It all happens inside their office. Most businesses do marketing from the comfort of the boardroom, or the owners' office. This is why so much of it fails.

The way to do marketing and boost sales, is to get out of your office and into the real world of the customer. Who do they compare you with? What messages are they bombarded with? What do they look for when searching for a supplier? How does your business look to them, from the outside in? How do they experience working with your team?

Only once you have the customers' view can you go back to your office and build a new website, run that campaign on Facebook and change the logo. The result is typically a rise in sales!

So what do I do, as an email marketing specialist? Mostly I try to get the business owner out of the office and into the world of the customer. You'll be surprised how difficult this can be. Then I craft beautiful and meaningful conversations which conversate with the customer as if they were sitting right across from you.

More than 130 scholarships have been awarded to worthy students from across America as beneficiaries of the program.

Eligible students must attend a post-secondary institution of learning that requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.

This could include any public or private four-year accredited college or university; two-year accredited college; or vocational technical college or training institution.

Purdue University Engineering Steel Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded annually to talented, dedicated engineering students as encouragement to pursue careers within the steel industry and take advantage of internship opportunities and financial assistance.

HAMMOND – David G. Sedrak of Schererville, a Purdue University Northwest mechanical engineering student, has received a $6,000 Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) Foundation Steel Intern Scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded annually to talented, dedicated engineering students as encouragement to pursue careers within the steel industry and take advantage of internship opportunities and financial assistance. Scholarship recipients also must commit to a paid summer internship at a North American steel company or industrial supplier.

“This scholarship provides students an opportunity to work with industry, gain hands-on experience and prepare for the workforce,” Purdue Northwest Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering George Nnanna said.

Previously, Sedrak received the 2015-16 AIST Foundation Steel Scholarship and the 2014-15 AIST Foundation William E. Schwabe Memorial Scholarship intended for deserving engineering, metallurgical or materials science students who demonstrate academic excellence and effective leadership abilities.

Purdue University Northwest (PNW), a comprehensive regional university within the Purdue University system, has two Northwest Indiana campuses in Hammond and Westville. The university was established in early 2016 by the unification of the former Purdue University Calumet and Purdue University North Central. With more than 15,000 students and nearly 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, Purdue Northwest is Indiana’s fifth largest public university. Trustee Donates $10.5 Million for Finance Internship And Scholarship Program, Lab School Scholarship

Trustee Donates $10.5 Million for Finance Internship Program, Lab School Scholarship

University Trustee John Washington Rogers Jr. (Lab ’76) has donated $10.5 million to support a scholarship fund for students attending the University-affiliated Laboratory Schools and to establish a program for lower-income students in the College pursuing careers in finance.

Four million dollars of the donation will be allocated to the John W. Rogers and Victoria Marie Rogers Scholarship Fund, a program that supports scholarship opportunities at the Laboratory Schools.

Another $4.5 million will be used to establish and support the Ariel Investments Internship Program in Finance, a nascent program that will motivate College students from low-income and racial and ethnic minorities to pursue careers in finance. The donation will provide minority students more opportunities for paid internships at investment offices.

Rogers’s donation will be used to further promote career advising programs, professional workshops, and networking and internship opportunities for College students. The remaining $2 million is for “unrestricted support.”

“The Laboratory Schools and the University of Chicago teach students how to think while respecting different points of view and different experiences…. It’s part of what makes them such great places,” Rogers said in a press release last month.

An alumnus of the Laboratory School, Rogers now serves as the chairman, CEO, and founder of the mutual fund firm Ariel Investments, LLC. Rogers has been a board member of the Laboratory Schools for over two decades and was presented with the Laboratory Schools’ Distinguished Alumni Award in 1994. In 2009, Rogers was appointed as the Laboratory Schools’ chair by University President Robert J. Zimmer.

Travel The World For Free & Take Pretty Pictures With The Greatest Internship Ever

I don't know about you, but my first internship wasn't glam by a long shot. I filed papers, restocked office supplies, and hoarded packs of pink Post-Its in a gloomy office without pay.

The most travel I did was picking up coffee at the local Starbucks.

Clearly, Royal Caribbean isn't into that sort of thing.

According to Condé Nast Traveler, the company just announced that it's looking for an intern who's a great storyteller with an “extensive knowledge of all 23 filters” on Instagram.

This June and July, this intern will set sail on three of their luxury cruise ships for three weeks, traveling to New York, the Caribbean, Asia, and the Mediterranean, while capturing the entire experience on IG.

Oh and this ahem "intern" will also be paid $3,700, and have all expenses and accommodation paid for.

Meanwhile, I couldn't even get my boss to pay for my MetroCard. What a time to be alive.

Considering the fact that people actually have Instagram-driven travel aspirations (I shamelessly include myself in that group, btw), I'd say this really is peak #TravelGoals.

Details to apply are here. The catch? I honestly can't find one. Seriously.

My Internship After Studying Public Relations

I was a public relations intern, however I did a lot more than write press releases. I assisted in reformatting the website; I recorded and edited video content; I carried out interviews; and attended some events/meetings that were hosted or involved with the organization.

Name

Kristine Hernandez

Major

Public relations with a minor in anthropology (College of Arts, Sciences & Education and Honors College)

Where you interned

National Voices for Equality, Education, and Enlightenment (NVEEE).

What did you do there?

I was a public relations intern, however I did a lot more than write press releases. I assisted in reformatting the website; I recorded and edited video content; I carried out interviews; and attended some events/meetings that were hosted or involved with the organization.

How did your internship connect back to your coursework?

It all came back to the foundational thinking of how can we gain a following or support with accurate and attractive information. My classes currently are focused on how to put out information effectively, both through writing and with media.

What was the coolest thing about your internship?

The coolest thing was being able to know that I was doing something or producing material that was going to help someone who is going through a hard time in his or her life.

What did you like most about your experience?

What I liked most was that the environment I was in was more-so relaxed, and allowed me to feel safe in learning and asking questions about my role. I was allowed to practice and learn while working through what I’ve learned in the classroom.

How did the position increase your professional confidence?

My position allowed me to feel like I could contribute my opinion without looking dumb or unintelligent.

How did you expand your professional network?

I finally got a LinkedIn as advised from my supervisor and fellow intern, and through it made connections with individuals who are associated with NVEEE (such as the Public Relations Firm ‘BryteBox’).

How did it help you prove yourself in the “real-world?”

Carrying out a professional presentation of self, or completing tasks in a timely manner, have been some of the different ways I’ve been able to prove myself in the “real-world.”

How did you get your internship?

I attained this internship through the Honors College. Isabel Green helped me tremendously in trying to find one that would fit my potential professional endeavors.

What advice do you have for those beginning the internship process?

Look for an internship with persistence and humility.

Be persistent in finding one, and finding one that fits your schedule and professional dreams. Go about it with humility, whether that’s seeking help or asking those around you, or even coming upon an internship that doesn’t have everything you wanted. In the end, experience is experience, and who knows what doors your new experience will open.

The Bursary Fund Financial Support To Students

A life-changing event, such as the passing of a parent, or the main salary earner losing their job, impacts not only the family as a whole but also the potential future of the student during this crucial period.

The Bursary Fund

...is a charitable body, independent from the British School in The Netherlands (BSN) which works within the school, to raise funds and administer financial support to students in years 10 to 13, who would otherwise be unable to complete their critical examinations (GCSE, AS, A2, IB), due to a change in family financial circumstances.

External exam periods represent some of the most important years of a student’s life. Life isn't always as kind as we would like, however, and, when these years coincide with a set of unexpected circumstances, the emotional impact can be hugely detrimental. A life-changing event, such as the passing of a parent, or the main salary earner losing their job, impacts not only the family as a whole but also the potential future of the student during this crucial period.

Funds are raised to support the Bursary Fund charity through various activities, including the End of Summer Sale and Arts and Crafts Fair as well as the Winter Wonderland and Laser Show in the autumn term. Events take place at one of the BSN schools and are widely advertised in advance - the Executive Committee is always open to creative suggestions for fundraising and relies on the support of the School and the community to make fund-raising events a success.

Who Manages The BSN Bursary Fund?

Notwithstanding its name, the fund is completely independent of the BSN. It is managed by an Executive Committee (chairman, secretary, treasurer and about a dozen further members) - drawn mainly from parents and staff - and which meets 6-8 times per year. Much of its deliberations and activities are related to fund-raising. The treasurer is also responsible for taking care of the funds raised and for paying any bursary awards.

How Are Funds Raised?

Funds are raised through various activities, the most well-known of which are the two big events – The Craft Fair and End Of Year Sale in the Summer term, and the Winter Wonderland and Laser Show in the Autumn term. Events usually take place at one of the BSN schools and are widely advertised in advance. The Executive Committee is always open to creative suggestions for fundraising and relies on the support of the School and the community to make fund-raising events a success.

How Are Funds Used?

Funds are used to contribute towards the school fees of a BSN pupil in years 10-13 in those rare situations where the changed personal circumstances of the family mean it is unable to fully support the School fees. Pupil performance in these years can have a long-lasting effect on his or her future and the aim of the fund is to relieve some of the pressure during an already difficult time for the family and allow the pupil to study for and complete his or her examinations without extra stress. The intent is to ensure uninterrupted schooling to the next level of examination where alternative schooling arrangements are not appropriate.

What Is The Application Procedure?

All the details around how the funds raised are used - and how to apply for support from The Bursary Fund are here on the Gateway parent portal - only existing BSN students in Years 10-13 and whose personal circumstances mean it is not possible to fully support the School fees are eligible.
