What Do the Undergraduate Bursaries Cover?

The undergraduate bursaries cover tuition and residence costs, a book and living allowance as well as a host of entrepreneurial and personal development programmes. You are given the opportunity to concentrate all your energy on becoming the catalyst of change you know you are destined to be. The Allan Gray Fellowship programme also exposes its Fellows to a mentorship programme and exclusive access to a dedicated venture capital fund, once Fellows have graduated and obtained some work experience.

Qualifying for this Academic Scholarship

So now that you're excited by the opportunity of an undergraduate bursary, here's what you need to qualify for the academic scholarships offered by the Foundation:

1. You need to have a minimum of a "C" average in the mid year exams.
2. You must be a citizen of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana or Swaziland.
3. You must be currently studying towards a commerce, science (excluding medicine) or engineering degree at one of the following universities: the University of the Witwatersrand, the University of Johannesburg, the University of Pretoria, the University of Cape Town, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Rhodes University or the University of the Western Cape.
4. You must have a passion and flair for entrepreneurialism.
5. You should posses the characteristics associated with Allan Gray Fellows - intellectual imagination, personal initiative, spirit of selflessness, courageous commitment and achievement excellence.
6. You need to be excited about changing the future of Southern Africa and be ready and rearing to go.
