Internship : FestivAll Offers Student Internships For 2013 Season

Charleston-- FestivALL in West Virginia USA, Charleston's festival of visual arts, music, theater, dance, film and other cultural and entertainment events, is offering internships for the 2013 season.

The internships will be available to students in many areas such as: Promotions, Dance Events, Theater Events, Public Art, Music Events, Westside Events, Volunteer Coordination, Visual Arts and Executive Director's assistant. Current High School juniors through college age students may apply.

Students - Become a FestivALL Intern

FestivALL 2013 runs June 21-30 at venues in and around downtown Charleston from the Clay Center to the Capitol Market. Interns must be available to work from April or May through the end of June depending on the internship. The deadline to submit an application is April 1. Applications are available at high school counselors' offices, on the FestivALL website or by email from Chrissy Preservati at cpreservati@yahoo.com.

The internships will include many duties and responsibilities associated with the various areas of production, performance and event planning. The specific duties of each internship will be described in more detail during the application and interview process. These are unpaid internships but may be used towards community service credit for high school students.

FestivALL Charleston began in 2005 with the support of Mayor Danny Jones and the Charleston City Council. Under the direction of Executive Director Larry Groce, it mixes fine arts and pop arts in venues and locations all over Charleston and includes a wide variety of styles and genres. FestivALL directly produces some events, co-produces some events and presents some events that are produced by other individuals and organizations.
