The ICCR Scholarship For South African Nationals

The ICCR Scholarship is sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), an autonomous body under administrative control of Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.

The Consulate General of India, Durban invites applications from South African nationals only for grant of ICCR scholarships for various Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate course in various disciplines. The scholarship will offer:

1. Return air fare to India
2. Living allowances as prescribed by ICCR
3. Hostel accommodation or House Rent Allowance (in case Hostel accommodation is not available) at prescribed rates.
4. Tuition fee (paid directly to the College / University by ICCR) excluding laboratory fee & related incidental charges for science courses.

Note: For B.E. / B.Tech / Engineering course, candidate must have taken Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in their School Leaving Examinations.

1. Applicants must be proficient in English
2. Academic Session in India begins in July / July
3. Applicant must have a valid passport for the duration of the course before submitting application form.

Six copies of the application form, six photos and Fitness / Medical certificate including checklist should be submitted in person to the Consulate General of India, Durban.

Before Applying

Applicant is advised to visit the Consulate General of India, in Durban (Weekdays 11am – 3pm) for a briefing on terms and conditions of the scholarships, including living conditions in India.
